Caring for Meteorite Jewelry

Iron meteorite pieces. The etched surface is bare metal and will slowly patina with wear — many owners love this, as the pattern only gains depth. If you prefer the original brightness, keep the piece dry: remove before washing hands or showering, keep it away from perfume and sweat, and store it in the pouch included. A dry cotton cloth after wearing is all the maintenance required.

Stony meteorite pieces. Chondrites contain minerals that can weather. Avoid water, perfume and impact; store in the pouch. Stone is more fragile than iron — treat it like the 4.5-billion-year-old original it is.

Strung pieces. Bracelets are strung on imported elastic cord. We re-string them free, for life, because a bracelet should outlast its cord — just write to us.

Never: ultrasonic cleaners, silver dip, abrasive cloths. These will dull the etched pattern or pit the stone. Gentle and dry wins.
